If you are a person that works from home, you know how important it is to yourself that you are a success at this. It takes a lot more effort to be a work at home success than it does for someone to be successful at a job that is away from the home.
One of the most important things to remember is that you, yourself and no one else is he greatest asset that you have for your success. So it’s important to remember that you need to keep your self balanced with the right diet, some exercise as well as time to relax.
One important way to keep yourself well balanced is to pay attention to to your physical fitness and the needs of your body. Since a work at home job generally requires that you sit in front of a computer, at a phone or something of that nature, for most of your day, you should really make yourself get up at about once every hour and do some stretching.
This will help your neck and shoulders from getting strained from sitting there for all those hours. Do this on a regular basis and you will be surprised at how much better you will feel.
About every three hours or so you need to actually get away and stay away from your work area for at least ten minutes at a time. If you even have to set an alarm clock in order to remind yourself to do this, then go a head and do so.
This means you should take this time to leave the room and walk around and do something other than work. Go outside if the weather is nice and take a short walk. This is the perfect time to let the fresh air clear your mind so that you are refreshed when you return to working.
Do some exercises like standing and putting your hands on your knees and then do some exhaling while you pull in strongly your abs. Then go a head and hold this position for about 10 seconds before you inhale. Do this about 10 times and eventually work this up to 20 times each time you do it.
You can also try stretching your elbows out to where they are even with the shoulders and then twist your body very slowly to your right and then again to your left. Try doing this 10 times both right and left.
Another thing that is important is that you learn how to manage your time wisely. Make sure that you are not all work and nothing else. Take some short breaks throughout the day so that you can give a friend a call or sit down for a few minutes with your family to take a much needed break from your work.
A long with the short 10 minute breaks you need to take out at least time for 30 minutes to have a nice lunch, watch something on TV or even ready something enjoyable during that time away from your office.
Set yourself up a schedule that is fully adaptable to your home life and that will also compliment your lifestyle. Make your work hours so that they are during times when it is most calm in your home. That might be early in the mornings, mid afternoon or in the late evenings. Whatever allows you to both work at your job and take care of your personal life.
