If you have items in your home that you think you can make some money off or you have items that you create such as art or jewelry, you might want to consider the possibility of using eBay as your source to be able to show off and sell you items. If you have never used eBay before then you might need a little bit of guidance on how to do so.

The first thing you need to do is to go and visit eBay and sign up on their site to become a member. Just go to the site and click on the “Register” button. After you have done all that they have said to become a member and confirmed your membership you can then go further and start using their site.

You will then need to decide what items you are going to sell and then make sure that you have something that sells for about $50 to start your selling off with. You can search eBay for similar items like yours by using their search bar. This will also help you find a good selling price for your item.

When you are ready to can click “Sell” button that is found at the top of your computer screen. Make sure that you are ready to sell when you get to this step of the process. After you have done this a screen will come up where you can type in a few words that will describe the item that you are trying to sell.

After you are finished doing that the site will then give you the opportunity to pick the category that your item fits in best. You will need to make sure to fill in all the information you can that will describe your product. Make sure that you follow their directions as they are requested on the site. Try to describe the item as good as you can and when asked to you can supply a picture of the item as well. Once you have done this make sure to click on “Save and Continue”.

You will then get the opportunity to preview what you have done up to this point. After you are satisfied with what information you have provided you can then click on “List Your Item”. You will need to repeat this same process for every item that you are considering selling on eBay.

You can keep track of your progress by clicking on the “My eBay” button on the site. This will let you see all of the things that you have put up for sale and if they have any current bids on them or not.

Some things you should be aware of if you are selling on eBay, understand that really cheap things simply don't have a good chance to sell and example would be trying to sell something for under $3.00. You should however start with the lowest price you are willing to sell the item for when you first post it. This will make it easier for the bidding to start. Another important thing to remember is try not to send your sold item out before you receive payment for the item.
